Balmain Fall/Winter 2010 Womenswear

It's official! I got sucked right into the core of Balmania. I have a soft spot for everything Balmain. Even my sheets have to be Balmain now. The label which is known to be notoriously expensive - such a major *eyesore!

The theme for fall/winter 2010 is "Baroque 'n' roll." Nothing revolutionary, Balmain's Christophe Decarnin is still banking in on the same formula that helped the french fashion house achieved a 50% sales increase. Despite a repetition in silhouette and designs, the collection is a gamut of luxurious finery...gold frocks with fringes and full-length slinky gowns; brocade jackets with lavish detailing and gold pin-striped tailored suits that induces major heart palpitation and make many women weak at their knees.

Been there, done that!

Victoria Beckham was spotted at LAX airport with the same look again *boring* - her recent favourite Balmain jacket and the same Loewe hat she wore on the cover of Vogue Russia February 2009. Talking about recession. The only eye candy we are talking here is her white travel 55cm Hermes Kelly bag.

Most recent, Lindsay Lohan attended the A/X Timepieces Launch looking waifish in the strapless white mini dress from the Spring '09 collection. Next up, Beyonce was spotted wearing the "preposterously" extravagant crystal-embellished canvas jacket *US$11,410* from the Spring '09 collection on a date with Jay-Z. Then spotted in Milan shopping... Victoria Beckham fully decked in Balmain - leather jacket and tie-dye skinny jeans from the Spring '09 collection as well. Now even Wacko Jacko is a fan of Balmain *wierd* but definitely beats wearing PJs!
