Giles Deacon For Ungaro?

British designer Giles Deacon might be appointed as the next creative director for Parisian fashion house Emanuel Ungaro. WWD have reported that the designer had lunch at Le Relais Plaza in Paris with a table full of Ungaro executives, including owner Asim Abdullah. That is wonderful news because it will need someone like Giles Deacon to salvage whatever damage Lindsay Lohan and her heart-shaped pasties caused to the luxury label.

In positive Lindsay Lohan news (Michael Lohan gettin' hitched not counted), the American actress is ready to show the world how capable she is as a fashion designer despite her failed stint at the house of Emanuel Ungaro.

Instyle provided the first look at Lindsay Lohan's 6126 expanded collection. Including Lohan's trademark leggings, the expanded collection will consist of 280 ready-to-wear pieces (will retail from $60 to $1000). The collection was inspired by, “The iconic Marilyn Monroe and the timeless, confident glamour she represents.” At this stage, I am liking the collection. The pieces do not exude the essence of Marilyn but it definitely speaks for the designer's personality. Lohan also managed to rope in her little sister, Aliana Lohan to model for the collection.

Lindsay Lohan is reportedly in talks to become the House of Emanuel Ungaro’s ‘creative consultant’.
The ‘Mean Girls’ actress is said to be discussing the role with label bosses in Paris, although head designer of the brand Esteban Cortazar is reportedly unhappy with the move.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: ‘Esteban is threatening to leave the company if they bring Lindsay on as a consultant. It has been a revolving door of designers there and if he leaves, his team will go with him.
‘Ungaro thinks Lindsay is going to bring the company new energy and new buzz, but she is going to be the nail in the coffin. Nobody will take them seriously ever again.’
Esteban joined the label in 2007 when he was 23, and was praised after his first collection debuted last year.
The fashion house is no stranger to working with celebrities.
In 2008, the label and Avon teamed up to launch two fragrances - U by Ungaro for Her and U by Ungaro for Him - which Reese Witherspoon was the face of.
Lindsay has previously spoken of her love of fashion, and has her own range of leggings and fake tan.
She featured in the Spring/Summer 09 campaign for Italian fashion line Fornarina, and would love to do more modeling.
She has said: ‘I love doing photo shoots. I mean, if I could just sign with IMG and do ad campaigns and model more, I’d do that because that’s fun for me. That’s not work.’
Esteban’s lawyer gave no comment on the claims, while a representative for the House of Emanuel Ungaro did not return calls.

Next up, Beyonce was spotted wearing the "preposterously" extravagant crystal-embellished canvas jacket *US$11,410* from the Spring '09 collection on a date with Jay-Z. Then spotted in Milan shopping... Victoria Beckham fully decked in Balmain - leather jacket and tie-dye skinny jeans from the Spring '09 collection as well. Now even Wacko Jacko is a fan of Balmain *wierd* but definitely beats wearing PJs!
