Blake Lively For Vogue US June 2010

I am glad that Vogue is finally doing this; to market actress Blake Lively as a Californian beach siren and not as Upper-east side "Serena van der Woodsen." Another plus point: steering away from her usual Versace frocks, Blake presented an array of designer swim-garbs in the photo spread.

Rachel McAdams for Vogue January 2010

I am a fan of Rachel McAdams but this January 2010 cover ( shot by Mario Testino) screams "KATE GOSSELIN", the hair *maybe it was intended but the dark hair roots are majorly irking me* and the outfit is plain suburban mumsy. C'mon Vogue, first the ugly "Nine" cover and now this?!

Andre Leon Talley talks...

The Vogue editor-at-large, self-proclaimed his hatred for Crocs.

On his style:
‘You cannot live your life in the elitist world of fashion and not step out or you’re disconnected. You have to realize that fashion is not the endgame. I started wearing Uggs two years ago. It’s a cozy shoe. Also, they’re only $98." In fact, at home, he wears "Juicy Couture shorts, a Ralph Lauren polo shirt and Uggs." But don't expect him to wear Crocs. "I draw the line at Uggs."’

On the ‘skinny’ Vogue offices:
‘The Vogue offices are full of what I call very angular women wearing stilettos, and maybe that’s just the consciousness — that people think that they need this look when they work at Vogue. But Grace Coddington does not fit that mold and she’s elegant. Look at Michelle Obama, she’s the most fashionable woman in America. But she’s not a fashion plate.’

On his love of Dorothy, Rose, Blanche and Sophia:
‘I only watch MSNBC for the news. And reruns of The Golden Girls. It’s my favorite show. They have a sense of being at home, always wearing different robes and nightgowns. For me it’s one of the greatest shows ever. Helmut Lang loves The Golden Girls too. He told me he used to rush home to watch it. It’s very uplifting and fresh, it just takes you away from the fashionable world.’

Been there, done that!

Victoria Beckham was spotted at LAX airport with the same look again *boring* - her recent favourite Balmain jacket and the same Loewe hat she wore on the cover of Vogue Russia February 2009. Talking about recession. The only eye candy we are talking here is her white travel 55cm Hermes Kelly bag.

US Vogue May 2009 Cover

Faces Of The Moment
So the much-awaited Vogue cover is out! It's an american Vogue cover without americans. Here in it's "full glory" - the who's who in the modeling industry. Where's Sasha Pivovarova?! In my opinion, the most rightful model that deserves the reign is .... a draw between Liya Kebede and Lara Stone

Cover page: Liya Kebede, Lara Stone & Natalia Vodianova

Clockwise from left: Carolyn Murphy, Liya Kebede, Kristen McMenamy, Coco Rocha, Jessica Stam, Amber Valletta, Linda Evangelista, Gisele Bündchen, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Karen Elson, Natalia Vodianova, Guinevere Van Seenus, Stella Tennant, and Agyness Deyn.
