Richard Chai Love [MBFW S/S 11]

Spring has been a wet and humid affair therefore when I first view this collection, I can't help but feel that it is utilitarianism at its best. Not raincoats per se but the silhouette form, liquidity and sheerness of the fabrics appointed in this collection reminds me of one (that said, these pieces do not do rain!). The colour palette spells gloomy too - nudes, grays and blues.

Seperating the pieces apart, many of them do possess great wearibility factor; Chai's blazers are amazing replacements for the infamous "boyfriend blazers." Tucked-in high waist, the lucid top that reveals a bandeau underneath translates femininity and sensuality.
