2010 Oscars - Red Carpet
"Education" actress, Carey Mulligan should be awarded "The Most Typical Choice" award." As the supposed "It" actress of 2009, I had high hopes for her but her loyalty for Prada on the red carpet is starting to get a lil' boring. The Prada dress she wore for the award show is not bad, the only problem I had with it was the raised hem.

Sarah Jessica Parker, another Chanel Couture contender. She chose to wear a pale canary yellow Chanel Spring 2010 Couture gown which I am trying my very best not to dislike. Well at least, this is not that huge of a disaster as compared to Diane Kruger's choice; and I do appreciate the details at the back of SJP's gown

2010 Oscars - Red Carpet
One word to describe - tragic!
One sentence to sum it all - truly disappointing!
As we all know, Diane Kruger is a regular on the red carpet, she has always been über stylish on a consistent basis. But of all nights, she chose to screw up on THE night with her Chanel Fall 2009 Couture gown which is totally unflattering; the mid-ruffles kinda make her hips look large. A devastating blow as I was really looking forward to seeing her on the red carpet.

2010 Oscars - Red Carpet
Rachel McAdams frustrates me! She had some hits but so many misses with fashion. She is like a lost lamb to me, still experimenting her sense of style. One thing for sure, I totally dislike her pink highlights circa 2007. Despite all the fashion faux pas, she has proven herself well on the red carpet for the award show. Looking ethereal in a Elie Saab Spring 2010 gown, I was reminded of her allurement circa Regina George/Mean Girls.

2010 Oscars - Red Carpet
Amidst the array of single-coloured gowns, Maggie Gyllenhaal's Dries Van Noten evening dress was a breath of fresh air. Her choice of gown was nowhere near boring as the hand painted blue brush strokes were dramatic. And I cannot stop gushing about her pink lippie! I am not a fan of all her work (except for Mona Lisa Smile) but she is definitely a risk-taker and her "2010 Oscar" look is by far one of my favourite.

2010 Oscars - Red Carpet
Miley Cyrus opted for a champagne strapless gown by Jenny Packham for the award show. I love the bustier bodice and the beadings on the gown. Not a fan of that hair and her *beaver smile but I have to admit that she looks poised and regal for her age.

2010 Oscars - Best Dressed
As what Oscar freakanoid, Rachel Zoe would say: "CAMERON KILLED IT, SHUT IT DOWN. SHE OWNS IT; I DIE."
I was utterly speechless when I first saw photos of Cameron Diaz on the red carpet. She looked flawless in her Oscar de la Renta Fall 2010 gown; her hair and makeup was impeccable.

Favourite Looks | 2010 Grammy Awards
Miley Cyrus in Hervé Léger
Carrie Underwood in Edition by Georges Chakra
Rihanna in Elie Saab Couture
Katy Perry in Zac Posen
Lady Gaga in Armani Privé
Celine Dion (seen here with husband,René Angélil) in Balmain
Miley Cyrus blew me away once again! (the first time was during the promotion of "Hannah Montana - The Movie", in Hervé Léger as well) Her makeup (love the nude!) was flawless. Not to mention that I love her overly extended tresses and the fact that her mum looks younger than her. Carrie Underwood looked gorgeous in an asymmetrical gown. Never a fan of feathers but Rihanna looked regal in the Elie Saab gown with feather detailing on the bodice. Katy Perry looked kinda cute with that Bettie Page-inspired hairdo and that bindi on her forehead. Lady Gaga is the epitome of outlandish glamour. Only she can carry off a look like that from Armani Privé without looking silly (exclusively made for her). But that wig of hers...Scary! (will you just look at that hairline?!) Last but not least, Celine Dion is still coping with Balmania-blues (including most of her looks during her concert tours) but who is complaining?!
