To that particular Grazia writer who complained that Tavi Gevinson's couture hat was blocking her view during Dior Spring 2010 Couture.

"Apparently this hat was very upsetting to some people!

I had no intentions of blocking the views of people behind me but it didn't block any views-I'm SHORT, so watching the show behind me would be like watching it through a regular-sized adult, but better, because adult heads do not have holes in them. Other than the stinky cheese man, from that one book, from like, second grade, or something. My dad was sitting next to the Grazia writer that tweeted this picture and said there shouldn't have been any problems in seeing the clothes, but I'm pretty sure she or he was joking, anyway?

The day before the show we went to the Dior atelier (which was, in a word, amazing, but that's all for another time) and spent a bit of time with Stephen Jones, who, being the incredibly friendly and charming mad hatter he is (his watch was SO Alice in Wonderland, kooky and distorted numbers and everything) was very kind as to give me this hat he had made as a sample for one of Dior's couture shows a couple years ago but ended up not being used. It only seemed appropriate to wear it to the Dior show.

Also, some people thought it was too show-offy, which..I mean, my philosophy for dressing is pretty much to go all out, and it seemed like the right time to do so. Complaints that it's "childish" or "obnoxious" are silly. Because to some other people, it would be a bad thing if I DIDN'T dress childishly! And that sums up the Haters thing altogether-it is impossible for EVERYONE to be pleased with EVERYTHING. If I wore leather and studs no one would complain, and I'm not sorry for bringing a bit of color into the room. Haters gonna hate, etc. But also, I am really curious as to when news websites will write about something interesting, i.e. not what someone wore to a fashion show. Really, the people that actually care will read about it on this here blog. Otherwise, it feels pretty pointless to me!"

Kate Moss' Handbag Collection Launch Party

In other Kate Moss' handbag collection news...Kate Moss was at the Ritz Club in Paris to celebrate her line of handbags for Longchamp. She wore a shorter version of a black lace dress from Valentino Resort 2010 to show off those pins of hers. Love the look but definitely not those ash gray highlights!

Previously, we've seen the preview for the Kate Moss’ Longchamp handbag collection that she designed with the brand’s artistic director Sophie Delafontaine, now we'll be able to view the official product photos. According to Kate in the press release: “I love a splash of color.”
Besides color, the bag collection will also feature zebra prints - one of Kate’s favorite prints. The Kate Moss’ Longchamp andbag collection will release on February 11th.

Tommy Ton's first gig for Vogue Paris was shooting Tavi Gevinson for the Une fille un style pages. You can view the rest of the feature below.

According to Tommy Ton:

If there was one thing I ever wanted to accomplish in the short time that I've been taking pictures, it was to be able to contribute to Vogue Paris in any capacity. This past December, my wish came true and I was lucky enough to be asked to fly to Chicago to photograph Tavi for the Une fille un style section. I spent the entire day at Tavi's house and we had lots of fun playing dress-up and taking silly pics.

Aggy Found A Boyfriend!

Agyness "Aggy" Deyn and James Franco an item?


According to Zimbio:

James Franco (reportedly) has a new lady! The Spider-Man hunk was introduced to British supermodel Agyness Deyn at a New York Cinema Society bash last month, where they spent the night flirting and exchanged phone numbers. A source revealed: “Agyness and James have met since and are very keen on each other. There is a real connection.”

Agyness, 26, has been single since splitting from musician Miles Kane (one half of The Last Shadow Puppets with Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner) last October, while James has only recently come out of a relationship with actress Ahna O’Reilly. The source added to The Sun newspaper: “It’s early days. He’s still close to Ahna so it’s tricky to go in to another relationship but it’ll soon be full steam ahead.”

Sadly Disappointing

The much anticipated and hyped Apple iPad has made its debut. In my opinions, nothing revolutionary. Seemingly, it is like the iphone/ipod touch. The ipad measures 9.56x7.47x0.5 inches and weighs 1.5-1.6 pounds. It posess WiFi, Bluetooth, and the usual connectives but lack of a camera function.

Elie Saab’s Spring 2010 Couture

Elie Saab’s Spring 2010 Couture is by far one of my favourite couture presentation. Elie's interpretation for Spring was pastels - baby blue, lavender, nude beige and powder yellow. Gowns with thigh high splits that reveals a woman's sensuality were presented. Despite being couture, Elie created several shorter styles that were young and feminine. There were unexpected voluminous full-length gowns with water-color washes of floral prints as well. The models that walked down the reflective runway looked ethereal. This is one stunning collection that embodies all the qualities of an Elie Saab woman - alluring, sexy yet innocence
